June 30 is the last Pivot of the season. We’re going to take a little break in July but we’ll be back in August, fresh and ready for action!
Beverley Daurio’s fiction has been published in the US, England, and Australia, and her non-fiction has appeared widely, including in The Globe and Mail. She is the author of three books, most recently Hell & Other Novels (Coach House/Talon). She is the editor of several anthologies, and was formerly editor of paragraph: The Canadian Fiction Review, and Poetry Canada Review; books she edited have won or been shortlisted for many prizes, including the Governor-General’s Award. She lives in Toronto.
Guy Ewing apprenticed as a poet in Toronto in the 1970s. His first book of poetry, Hearing, and answering with music, was published by Mercury Press in November, 2009. His publicist, though patient, has advised him to pick up the pace.
Elise Newman is back in her hometown of Toronto after spending several years in Montreal. She holds an MA in Theatre Direction (University of East Anglia, UK) and one in Creative Writing from Concordia. Her plays have been produced at various festivals in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and Yorkshire.
