We continue the Montreal theme (begun January 26 with Larissa Andrusyshyn) with visiting writers John Goldbach and Mike Spry. Lest Pivot become a Habs-fest, we’ve rounded it out with local Nick McArthur. Come on down and be Nick’s backup.
John Goldbach‘s writings have appeared in Hobart, Descant, Matrix, Green Mountains Review, the Globe and Mail, the Coming Envelope and the New Guard and he’s the author of Selected Blackouts, a collection of short stories. He lives in Montreal.
Nick McArthur is a Toronto-based editor, and the author of Short Accounts of Tragic Occurrences from DC Books. He is currently pursuing an MFA at the University of Guelph.
Mike Spry‘s work has appeared in Matrix, This Magazine, Geist, filling Station, and The Journey Prize Stories. His collection of poetry, JACK (Snare Books 2008), was shortlisted for the Quebec Writers’ Federation’s A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry. A collection of short fiction, Distillery Songs, is forthcoming in April from Insomniac Press.
